Encik Tan

Hi Encik Tan!

this shop with really nice old time coffeeshop setting is at Kallang Wave.
They serve many delicious Chinese food such as popiah, oyster omelette, carrot cake, desserts like chendol etcetc

I had wonton noodles:

The chilli's not spicy though...so when you are there, you may want them to add more chilli into your noodles.
I haven't got to try other food there as I was rushing to go home after a workshop.
Next time! This hungry librarian shall eat more from Encik Tan next time :D

Zafirah, a Muslim Convert/Chinese Muslim...

Zafirah, a Chinese, Muslim Convert since 2009.
Ever since, questions have been asked... WHY Halal? WHY You? WHY no pork? N the list of questions goes on....
Until the very question... WHY so hard to find Halal food?
hmm... hard to find? Are you sure? In Singapore? Now?
That's how I started my Halal journey.... listing down many Halal delicacies that came into my life!
From street food to fine dining, Chinese Food, Japanese Food, Korean Food, Thai Food, Malay Food, Indonesian Food, etcetc
I am not here to judge or critic the food.
I am also not a professional food blogger.
People tend to compare the Non-halal version to Halal version of food...
For me, as long as they are Halal, and personally I feel its delicious, Alhamdulillah.

Here are some of my favourites....
Halal Sushi...as long as its fresh fish, n tasty... whichever restaurant its from, I love it!

Food from J's Restaurant, especially Poppers! I'll just "pop" with "joy" eating it :D
Jurong Western food stall...i seldom eat western food at coffee shop, this one is really good!
Halal crispy Egg noodles at Jurong...very fresh seafood....n most important crispy noodles.

Ivy's Restaurant's Apple dessert....sweet, warm apple pie and cold ice cream.... Love it!
